The eXperiment Operations Center (XOC) is a centrally managed location for the Intensity Frontier experiments at Fermilab and creates an opportunity to highlight accelerator research efforts to the public. McGuire Engineers provided electrical engineering services for the 3,000 SF XOC. McGuire Engineers objective was to design building systems to support the hardware and software needed for experiments while maintaining the aesthetics of a publically visible space.

ENGINEERING HIGHLIGHTS
- McGuire Engineers designed mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for an experiment data operations center including water cooled computer consoles.
- Provided recommendations on building system design and operations offering practical heating and cooling solutions to meet with Fermilab budget requirements.
- Initiated standalone HVAC systems for after hour cooling and ventilation requirements, resulting in greater system efficiency and reduced operational expenses.

THE DAYTON’S PROJECT
The project consists of the renovation and repositioning of the Macy’s building (formerly Dayton’s building) located at 700 Nicollet Mall Minneapolis, Minnesota.

McGuire Engineers, Inc. was hired by 601W Companies in 2015 and has been responsible for the complete renovation of all MEP/FP and Technology infrastructure for the building.

McGuire Engineers was tasked to provide MEP engineering, LEED & Well services for 450,000 SF of office space for Uber corporation.
