Central Plant Renovation & Multi-purpose Food Court


ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS


  • Designed a new highly energy efficient central cooling plant and ventilation system that cools the existing load, and is being installed in phases.

  • Provided mechanical ventilation and air conditioning for new 7,500 square foot multi-purpose “Brain Food Court”.

  • Upgraded cooling to the OmniMax Theater housed in its Henry Crown Space Center.

  • Conducted studies and design schemes that included a whole building energy simulations payback analysis.

  • Used building information modeling (BIM) software to create a three dimensional layout of the mechanical room which allowed for fewer unforeseen costs that are typical for museum projects and helped maintain the project’s schedule.
