McGuire Engineers (MEPC) worked with Shapiro and Associates to design a new Superdawg restaurant that mimicked the appearance of the original iconic Superdawg restaurant on Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago. Located on Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling, the 3,300 square-foot building houses a dining area with an open kitchen. It displays giant 12-foot sculptures of two hot dogs with blinking red eyes, named Maurie and Flaurie after the owners.
